Focus
The exit seems far away, yet it's close. You don't know where the path starts, yet it seems simple.
You try to follow a path there, but there's a lot of dead ends.
Part of the path seems to end at the exit, but the start of it is hidden.
This is how trying to focus often is with ADHD.
Artist Statement
K.A. Wesly creates works that explore life and nature. Through his drawings, he intend to take the viewer on a visual journey that highlight both the subtle and detailed aspects of existence.
As a child, he was often described as sensitive, a tree hugger, a walking animal encyclopedia inquisitive, and a daydreamer. He always expressed these traits by making up stories and scenarios, drawing pictures and creating and coming up with new characters and animals. These would almost always have a topic related to nature or how people think.
Though, often times these may have had an aspect of fear, due to Wesly sometimes finding how people interacted with the world and his own actions to be confusing or hurtful.
With that, Wesly plans to explore different philosophies from nature, and sometimes humanity's place in it, using elements of surrealism in some works, and fantasy or horror in others to create a captivating environment.
